History

         The Department of Early Childhood Education was established in 1992 and trains professional teachers who will teach in kindergartens. Formerly, it had been a two-year college program during 1984-1991. Since from 2003, we provided not only undergraduate program but also master program for those who would like to pursue further study. Originally, the undergraduate program enrolled one class of 40 students; currently we have 174 undergraduate students, 20 graduate students, and 9 full-time teachers.
